MENHIR

Menhir es un colectivo formado por la artista visual Coco Moya y el músico y psicólogo Iván Cebrián, con sede en Madrid. Su investigación se centra en la noción de territorio especulativo y los estados de conciencia, a través de instalaciones sonoras, performances, rituales, vídeos o publicaciones.

Están interesados en la generación de campos de acción, capaces de transformar las relaciones entre el espacio, las personas y las fuerzas que lo atraviesan. Recuperan la geomancia como metodología de conocimiento y como práctica del espacio.

Por ello, consideran sus obras como menhires virtuales, ubicados en un sitio expandido –un territorio físico, un evento en el tiempo o un estado interno–, pretendiendo reorientar su significado hacia el afecto, la pertenencia y la interdependencia, bajo una concepción tecno-naturalista de la vida.

They are interested in the generation of fields of action, capable of transform the relations between space, people, and forces crossing it. They recover the geomancy as a knowledge methodology and as a practice of the space.

Therefore, they consider their works as virtual menhirs, placed in an expanded site –a physical territory, an event in time, or an internal state–, aming to redirect its meaning towards affection, belonging, and interdependance, under an animist techno-nature conception of life.
